Job description

•The StatoilHydro asset team is located in Baku. The project engineer position fulfils an important follow-up responsibility with a reporting line to the Baku management team.

•Key aspects of the job include formal reporting of progress and costs into the headquarter system, use of the StatoilHydro discipline networks to ensure good experience transfer into the project and for quality assurance. In addition there is an expectation to prepare presentation material for meetings and develop a full understanding of the “general business picture” for StatoilHydro Azerbaijan for promoting value creation initiatives within the business unit.

•Key tasks of the position include:

•Responsibility for follow up and internal management of all project execution activities from FEED and contract awards / initial fabrication through to production phase, including Health Safety Environment (HSE) incident reporting

•Participation in the project-related technical sub-committee meetings and additional meeting responsibilities when applicable.

•Maintaining StatoilHydro's influential role within the partnership.

•Continuously reviewing the operator's practices to suggest improvement areas.

•Professional and proactive approach to project delivery administration

•Providing an important role supporting the asset managers for reporting issues, preparation of presentation material, responding to approval requests and other ad-hoc requests integral to asset team delivery.

•Support asset managers with organising and coordinating technical follow-up activities taking place in Norway

•Liaison with internal specialists to ensure high quality delivery.

•Engaging in experience transfer/ benchmarking activity for technical issues across the StatoilHydro Azerbaijan projects and to wider International and E&P Norway groups. Represent the assets and StatoilHydro Azerbaijan at internal reviews related to project execution when required. Collation of HSE data for internal purposes

•Liaison of procurement and contractual activities with the procurement and legal departments as required

The Financial Management Analyst will be assigned to the World Bank Office in Baku, on a two-year term appointment. This is the entry level position in the Resource Management family which handles financial accounting, administration and resource management work programs in the country offices. The incumbent in this position works under the guidance of senior team members, on detailed issues, using accuracy and attention to detail in order to meet the country office’s need for timely processing and reporting of day-to-day RM work program.

Financial Accounting:

• Process accurately and promptly all accounting transactions, including, operating expenses, procurement, travel, consultant payments, vendor payments, and other office running expenses;

• Maintains accounts reconciled at any given point in time. Regularly reviews the open item accounts and resolves any outstanding items; keeps relevant documents and invoices systematically to fully support the accounts;

• Reviews cash flow and replenishment needs;

• Interact with clients both inside and outside the Bank, e.g., staff, consultants, vendors, etc., to effect timely payments and resolve accounting related issues;

• Assist in planning and monitoring budget and expenses linked to country office work program;
