On November 12th, Experience Hendrix/MCA records will release Blue Wild Angel, which documents Jimi Hendrix's performance at the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival. The package will be released in four configurations: a DVD of the show, full-length CD and vinyl editions of the entire concert and an eleven-track highlights CD. Hendrix's last major performance, the Isle of Wight show fell only nineteen days before his death. The concert was previously released as an LP in 1971 and a CD in 1991. Both were abridged versions of the set, making Blue Wild Angel the first complete record of the performance. It is also the third live two-CD set to be released by Experience Hendrix taken from the same thirteen-month period. According to spokesman Steven Pesant, each captures something unique: Woodstock was an experiment with a new sound, Live at the Fillmore East represents an all-black power trio and Angel signals the re-emergence of the Experience with bassist Billy Cox replacing Noel Redding. Blue Wild Angel is also angrier, rougher and sloppier than the past releases. During "Voodoo Child" (the only song that is on all three CDs), Hendrix repeats the line "If I don't see you no more in this world" several times before shouting "Don't be late." And he wishes the crowd "Peace, love and all that bullshit" at the end of the show. "You can hear him struggling at first," concedes Pesant. "But once he finds his stride, it becomes amazing. It showed how Jimi could triumph under difficult situations." The film version, directed by Murray Lerner, premiereновостной порталear ago. Three of the songs, "Midnight Lightning, "Hey, Joe" and "Hey, Baby" were not properly videotaped, so they are not included in the film, even though they are on the full-length CD. The DVD edition features Dolby 5.1 surround sound, and the entire project was remixed by original Hendrix engineer Eddie Kramer. Experience bassist Cox says he doesn't recall the Isle of Wight show as any better or worse than other shows of that era. "It was late at night, so it only looked like we were playing to 50,000 people or so," he said. "But it turned out that the crowd was bigger than Woodstock. >Zepplock Zeppelin - это классика ! Я бы не стал сравнивать. Да ! Zeppelin Forever !!! А стиль КоЯnа определяют по разному, в том числе и как "New Heavy Wave". КоЯn Rulezz !!! Как вам их последний альбом "Untouchables"? Мне очень нравится, особенно песня "Leave this place".
