Dr. Bijan Fazlollahi, Professor, is a teacher and a researcher at Georgia State University, Robinson College of Business, Atlanta, GA, USA. His research is in the field of Management Information Systems focusing in the area of Decision Support Systems. His recent work is in the application of Soft Computing (GA, ANN, IA, and Fuzzy Logic) to Decision Support Systems. He has published in Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Decision Sciences, Decision Support Systems, Information and Management, Interfaces, Fuzzy Sets and Systems, International Journal of Intelligent Systems, Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems, and Soft Computing Journal. He is the editor of Strategies for eCommerce, IRM Press, 2002 as well as contributor to Soft Computing Agents, Edited by Vincenzo Loia, IOS Press, 2002.Bijan teaches Information systems as well as International Business courses here and abroad. He has taught in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Poland, South Africa and Iran. He has also taken part in organizing International Conferences in Germany and Uzbekistan. Bijan has substantial experience in consulting for and management of business and government organizations in the U.S. and abroad. . In the past he consulted for the Atlanta International Airport and Atlanta police Department. He also served as General Manager, Plant Manager, Operations Manager and Chief Engineer for various organizations. Currently he is the project director of several U.S. Government funded university partnership projects for the establishment of BBA and MBA programs in Azerbaijan and Republic of Georgia. His latest grant from USAID is “Leadership Training Program for Businesswomen of Georgia”. He served as Fulbright scholar in the former USSR. Dr. Fazlollahi received BS degree from MIT and MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Syracuse University. He has also received three Honorary Doctorate degrees in the past several years.
