To tell more exactly, this is a military-topographic map on Erivan province of the Tzar Russia made in Tiflis (Tbilisi) in 1903. Please, pay attention to the fact how many Azeri Turkish toponyms existed in this territory at that time, even the lake called SEVAN by armenians beginning from the Soviet period is given in its real name - GOYCHA. Even some armenian and georgian sources confirm that the oldest name of the lake was "GELEKUN". This is true and "GELEHUN" meant "The places where came Hunns" (the ancient Turkish Hunn tribes) in Turkic languages. More than 90 % of the toponyms of this territory are Turkish words. And the language of a toponym proves which people lived there. In anyway, the modern history science bases on this logics. It's possible again to confirm by means of this document that the given territory consists of the lands of the ancient IRAVAN KHANATE annexed to the Tzar Russia by military force in the early XIX century. This map explains the borders defined after collapse of Transcaucasian Unity which worked in the post-bolshevik revolution period - till May, 1918 and was made in Europe. Perhaps, it's interesting to know: After the collapse of the Transcaucasian Unity when Georgia (May 26, 1918) and Azerbaijan (May 28, 1918) declared their independence, armenians were anxious because of the fact that they had no any capital yet. In such case Alimardan bey Topchubashov from the moslem fraction of the Unity suggested to declare Iravan as the capital of armenians on a condition that Armenia (or in other words, Ararat Republic) would never make any territorial pretension against ADR. Only after solution of this problem armenians managed to declare their independence. Those who don't beleive in the truthfulness of this document, can look through the other historical fact below - the officially ratificated map of ADR, too. Let's watch it together. After a little while the independence of ADR was recognized within these borders in Paris Peace Conference. The map is of the French sources, later it was undersigned in English and published. According to the given maps it becomes clear that general area of Northern Azerbaijan during 1918-1920 years was 114000 kv.km-s. Namely in this period the western borders of Azerbaijan were in the middle of Lake Sevan (Goycha). In this historical map you see the lands of Goycha, Zangezur, Dilijan (Delijan - "Crazy Heart" in Turkish) which are in the territory of nowadays Armenia, within the Azerbaijani frontiers. The attack of the 11th Red Army of the Bolshevik Russia to ADR and the military coup d'etat in Baku on Aprel 27, 1920 put an end to the existence of ADR. 3 years later Nagorny-Karabagh Autonomous Region was created in the territory of Azerbaijan SSR, besides, Zangezur and Goycha were given to armenians by the order of Moscow. The rebellions and revolts of Azerbaijani Turks were suppressed in blood: only during 3 days (from 27th to 30th of May, 1920) nearly 13000 Azeri Turks were executed in Gandja revolt. Before and after these events armenians wanted Karabagh to unite to Armenia SSR, but they achieved their goal only after Gorbachov's perestroyka and in the process of collapse of the Soviet Union. This map is the only one made by Azeri Turk in this page, it was taken from the book "The History of the Ancient East" by professor Yusif Yusifov and adopted as a scientific fact. Looking attentively you can see easily that armenians lived in the South-Western part of Lake Van at that time.
